The Henry Kissenger of the Battery, Chapy Dog, aka Mr. Finess, was at his best when confronting umps over questionable calls, often leading to important game delaying situations (allowing other Dogs valuable time to catch their breaths (and whatever else). Chape also served as a formidable backstop for those opponents who dared to cross the plate after streaking past an absent Strangy Dog.
